Surgery / Treatment/ Medication/ Loss of Income costs

  • Minimum cost for Bypass Surgery is between 75,000/- to 1.5 Lakh but the good news is it has an average life of 6-8 years after which you have to re-bypass !!!
  • Minimum cost for Angioplasty (Stentating for heart vessel Block) is 1 to 2 Lakh
  • Minimum monthly cost for uncomplicated Diabetics is Rs.1,000/- to 3,000/- monthly cost to keep it control
  • Costs escalate exponentially in Diabetics with complications of the Eye, Heart, Brain, Kidneys, and Gangrene etc.
  • Monthly cost for Kidney Dialysis is a minimum of 10,000/-
  • Minimum cost for Kidney transplant is 1.5 to 2 Lakh
  • Average cost for Cancer Surgery is between 1 to 2 lakh
  • Average cost for chemotherapy is couple of lakh
  • Average cost of Radiotherapy is up to 1 lakh

All these costs exclude the following:

  •  
    1. Follow up treatment cost which includes blood test, Scans, Medicines, Injections,  Nutrition supplementation etc
    2. Doctors consultation charges and Hospital charges
    3. Transportation cost
    4. Patient attainder cost

Loss of income because of  not working both for the patient and the attainders who accompany them; called MAN HOURS LOST
